Southern Cross Music has been set up purely to showcase the ever-expanding wealth of dance music producers that hail from under the Southern Cross. With a view to cover the full spectrum of house, breaks, techno, dub, hip hop, drum and bass, trance, psytrance and harder styles, it is purely for artists from the southern regions of the world.

Until now, producers from down under have never had this kind of platform from which to launch themselves. We’ll be dedicating our time to showcasing these artists, making the most of today’s technological advances in distribution and promotion to ensure their music is heard all over the globe.

And how better to celebrate the launch than with a PARTY!!

Well….2006 is nearly over and what better excuse than to come and have a Christmas drink with the Fevah crew and celebrate with a massive 2 room event at Wellingtons finest club.

The club soundsystem will be delivering Fevah’s trademark charging beats all night long whilst the music in the lounge will be at a somewhat more sedate pace but by no means chilled out. With a bit of house, a bit of tech, a twist of electro and a little bit of breaks, there will be something for everyone.

Either way it’s going to be a massive night but not only that, it’s a perfect way to wind down and end the working year in style.

A BIG thanks to all the people who have helped us throughout 2006, have a safe new year and we look forward to seeing you at our first event in 07.

Our primary goal is to offer ongoing New Year’s Eve dance parties starting with ‘Uprising 07′ this year - a multi day, multi zoned event running from midday 31st December to midday 2nd January that will feature live music, international & national DJ’s, performers, VJ’s, visually enhanced natural surroundings, food/refreshment stalls and much more! Audiogenus.net went live on the eve of 2006 with the initial purpose of helping to distribute mix sets for Dj’s in and around the Christchurch area.

The name Audiogenus was chosen in reference to being a common gathering ground of all things audible, a place for music to evolve. (more…)

Last year we brought you the world famous Glastonbury Festival which is taking a break until 2007. This year www.fevah.co.nz looks to bring you coverage of another massive UK festival, The Monster Heavy Metal event, Download 2006 held @ Donington Park near the county of Nottinghamshire, England from 9th, 10th & 11th June.
